On November 29th, we celebrated our 10 year dating anniversary. We’ve had so many years to try different foods, wines and champagnes, so I like to say our taste is vintage. We kicked it off with some fondu (swiss cheese fondu, yellow and red pepper mix, portobello mushrooms, baguette, cherry tomatoes, Vienna sausages, green and red apples, and broccoli) and spring rolls with Mommessin 2103 Chateauneuf-du-Pape. And for dessert- some Australian bubbles and chocolate cookie dough X’s and O’s.

We continued our celebrations into the weekend in Montreal. We stayed at the Omni Mont-Royal downtown. They upgraded us to a king suite on the 27th floor with a view of Mont-Royal and some prosecco, chocolates and a congratulations card. Saturday, we enjoyed a Christmas-y walk through the city and some classic french quiche and champagne, and ended it with a trip to Strom Spa NordiqueStrom Spa Nordique on Île-des-Sœurs. Sunday, we of course had to catch the Habs game at St. Hubert beside the Bell Centre, since they were playing out west. A big glass of Merlot and some french onion soup did the trick for warming up on a winter day!
