WSET II With ITHQ

12282913_10153637913970428_1659845167_nI recently completed the WSET II course at the beginning of November with L’Institut de tourisme et d’hôtellerie du Québec in Montreal. After moving here, I decided I would continue with WSET, but with a different company. ITHQ was unbeatable. Our instructor Carmine was an Italian God of wine with all the knowledge and patience possible to help us thrive in the world of wine (and the SAQ).

This course offered us tastings of various reds and whites, champagne, sweet/dessert wines, orange wine, sherry, port, liqueurs, and spirits with a solid background of regions of the world.

And what better way to end our exam than with a bring your own wine restaurant with 19 beautiful bottles to taste! (Most not pictured below).

We were lucky enough to have a class that learned well together and became good friends throughout the course. Now, we share our knowledge by getting together weekly for blind tastings of specific grapes to keep our tasting skills on par.

Cheers!
