Stone City Ales is located in the heart of downtown Kingston on Princess Street. This tap house has a lively atmosphere with knowledgable servers that can pinpoint your beer style perfectly.
Stone City is best thing to happen to Kingstonian’s for craft and locally brewed beer in a long time. Not only do you get to try different beers through flights and pints, but you have the option of ciders, local wines (from the PEC area), and champagne. If you’re hungry, I would suggest pairing any drink you get with a charcuterie board. There are several choices of local cheeses and meats with paired sauces. All the beer is made in-house and offered in take-home bottles as well.
This urban-feel, open concept brewery offers a bottle shop that’s open until 11pm, which is later than most beer stores. The squealers and growlers come in old-time jugs (as seen below) that can actually be returned to Stone City for reuse and you get $4-$5 back depending on the size. I’d much rather enjoy a squealer or better yet a growler of fresh wheat beer, than the usual beer store choices!
