Local, organic and farm to table have become some new found words to me- and some beautiful ones for that matter!

Our neighbour here in Ottawa is an impressive woman. Her entire backyard is dedicated to her plants, her herb garden, her vegetable garden, her chickens (for fresh eggs), her bee keeping workshop, and her massive greenhouse. All I could do was gasp when we first saw the Eden hiding behind her house! This sweet lady gave us some vegetables and herbs to plant in our planter’s box.

So far, we have planted peppers, peas, cherry tomatoes, basil, oregano, dill, parsley, and leaf-lettuce.

Here’s a look ahead at her place, and our little planter’s box that keeps getting bigger and better.
